About these terms

These terms govern your use of altcoinlog.com. The Site is operated by Aleksandr Leusenko, founder and administrator of Altcoinlog, a project run on a voluntary basis to protect people from scams and fraud in digital assets; registration details (taxpayer ID, state registration number, postal address) are provided on request at support@en.altcoinlog.com (“we”, “us”).

By using the Site or creating an account you agree to these terms. Accepting the terms is not consent to processing of personal data: that is governed separately by the Privacy notice and, where relevant, the Consent to data processing.

What the Site is

Altcoinlog is an information publication about cryptocurrencies, blockchain and the digital economy. Our content is for information only and is not investment, financial, legal or tax advice.

The Site is intended for adults aged 18 and over. It is your responsibility to check that using the Site and the services it mentions is lawful where you are.

Your account

• Keep your password safe; you are responsible for activity on your account unless it results from our fault.
• Use a real email address: it is how you recover access.
• We may suspend or restrict an account that breaches these terms or shows signs of fraud, and will tell you why unless the law or security prevents it.
• You can delete your account at any time.

User rules

You must not post on the Site, or use the Site for:

• fraud, phishing, pyramid or Ponzi schemes, or promises of “guaranteed returns”;
• advertising or referral links without our agreement;
• offers of “stolen funds recovery” services;
• malware, hacking attempts, or automated scraping that burdens the Site;
• infringing the rights of others or publishing other people’s personal data;
• harassment, hate speech or other unlawful content;
• impersonating anyone, including Altcoinlog staff.

User content

You are responsible for comments and materials you post and confirm that you have the right to post them. You keep ownership of your content and grant us a free, non-exclusive licence to reproduce it and make it available on the Site and Altcoinlog’s official channels for as long as the copyright lasts, or until you delete it where deletion is technically possible. Paid contributions by authors are governed by a separate agreement.

We may hide or remove content that breaches these terms or the law. User opinions do not represent the views of the editorial team.

§6

Advertising and affiliate links

The Site carries advertising and affiliate links, which are labelled. If you buy from or sign up with a provider through a link, your contract is with that provider; we are not a party to it.

Liability

Access to the Site’s content is free of charge; paid services are governed by their own terms. The Site is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses arising from your financial decisions, your use of third-party services, the content of external sites, or comments by other users, nor for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable.

Changes, governing law and disputes

We may update these terms; the new version applies from publication. We give registered users advance notice of material changes, and you can delete your account if you do not agree.

These terms are governed by the law of the country where the operator is established (details on request at support@en.altcoinlog.com). If you are a consumer living in the EU, the UK or another country with mandatory consumer-protection rules, you keep the protection of those rules, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence where that law allows.
