§1

What cookies are

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Information collected through cookies, including identifiers and IP addresses, can be personal data; we handle it under the Privacy notice.

Under the EU ePrivacy rules and the UK PECR, cookies that are strictly necessary for a service you request can be set without consent; other cookies require your prior consent unless the law provides a specific exemption.

§2

Cookies we use

We use only first-party cookies, set by altcoinlog.com itself:

  • Login session (strictly necessary). Keeps you signed in to your account. Lasts until you sign out or the session expires.
  • Site language (strictly necessary for the feature you choose). Remembers whether you chose the English or Russian version. Lasts up to 400 days.
  • Article-view marker. Notes that you have already opened an article so the view is not counted twice in our aggregate view counts. It is not used to profile you or shared with anyone. Lasts 24 hours.
  • Display currency (strictly necessary for the feature you choose). Remembers the currency you picked for price tables (for example USD or EUR). Lasts up to 1 year.

No advertising or analytics trackers

We currently use no third-party web analytics and no advertising cookies, so there is no consent banner. If we ever add non-essential cookies, they will be set only after you opt in, you will be able to withdraw consent as easily as you gave it, and this policy will be updated first.

§3

Third-party services

Embedded videos and affiliate links lead to third-party sites, which may set their own cookies once you play the video or follow the link. Those cookies are governed by the third parties’ own policies, not by us.

§4

Managing cookies

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the session cookie will stop sign-in from working; blocking the language or view-marker cookies has no other effect on reading the Site.
