We take documents, data, and observations from inside companies. Pick a channel by risk: the more sensitive the material, the further down the list.
By increasing protection. Each channel states what it sees about you.

For non-urgent and non-sensitive: observations, tips, public documents.
↳Our mail server stores your address and the technical headers of the message.
2/3
For sensitive: internal correspondence, data that was not supposed to leak.
↳We see your number or handle. The messenger operator itself sees connection metadata.
3/3
For what can cost you a job or your freedom. Nobody but the addressee reads the contents.
↳Contents are protected. The fact of correspondence is not: the server sees sender and recipient addresses.
Internal emails, contracts, investor decks, minutes. We verify authenticity before we publish anything.
Exports, reporting, address registries. We work from the source file, not a screenshot — a screenshot is almost impossible to verify.
What you see as an employee: practices, decisions, circumstances. Even without a document this can start an investigation.
A contract vulnerability, an oddity in fund movement, a mismatch in on-chain data. We pass it to our technical editor.

We neither give nor accept it
—
01
The material is read by the investigations editor. It is not forwarded to general chats and is not discussed outside the newsroom.
02
We look for independent confirmation. One source, however convincing, is not a basis for publication.
03
Usually there are many. That is not distrust — that is the job: we must be ready to defend every claim.
04
You will see how the piece looks and how your information is reflected in it.
05
The decision stays with the newsroom. We do not hand over a veto — otherwise it is not journalism.
The fourth step is not approval. We show the draft so you can point out a factual error, not so we get a sign-off.
Outlets that promise full anonymity are misleading you. Here is where our capabilities end.
These four things protect you more reliably than any of our promises.
01
Do not write from a work device and do not use a work email.
02
Do not reach out from a corporate network and do not discuss this in a work messenger.
03
Check the document for individual marks: watermarks, hidden identifiers, layout differences between copies.
04
Do not tell colleagues that you contacted the press. The circle of people who know is the main source of leaks.
For non-urgent. We do not take files through the form — only via the channels above, where we control storage.
Write one line. An editor will say whether the topic is worth pursuing. It costs nothing and commits you to nothing.
